Our passion (and talent) includes finding the off-the-beaten path, less-traveled places and experiences that we know will joyfully expand your horizons.
We listen and get to know you. Then, we go beyond the tried-and-true and tourism trodden go-tos to find what’s truly unique, what captures the heartbeat of each wondrous and special destination.
African Journeys
We have deep roots in the safari space after almost 20 years of working throughout Africa. This means we have a keen eye on wildlife and conservation tourism. We can plan full-service traditional safaris, bush + beach vacations, and adventure itineraries (the places you’ve never heard of, but should…). We specialize in all regions: North, South, East, West and even Central. We have lots of unique offerings you might not know are possible.
Small Group Travel
Make connections on new adventures. We have curated small group journeys for every kind of traveler: women’s adventure journeys, discovery journeys (for the real adventurous ones), and other small group trips designed around locations we’re over the moon about at the moment - and think you might be too.
Events & Logistics
Events? We’ve planned them. Logistics? We’ve unmucked some serious problems… Wedding planning for an intimate group in middle of the desert? Check. Getting glamping tents sent to Mongolia for a private fishing excursion? In our sleep. Complex logistical needs? It’s our drug. Fixing our way through a foreign land- its just in our blood. Have an interesting request- send them our way and we’ll chat it out.

Your understanding of and feel for Morocco were evident and very genuine. I appreciated the insight that you wanted to share which resulted in a most authentic visit that felt curated, so to speak. Odds are that we would have missed experiencing each place we visited to its fullest without the selection of places and people with whom we interacted.

THE IDEAS GAL
Raging neophiliac Jen Curran beat a path to exotic travel guru status through a jungle of acronyms and statistics in the international aid and development field, and the occasional actual jungle (think Congo Basin). She accumulated her craft over 15+ years of planning, logistics, and program management traveling between the academy and the far afield. Along the way she developed an uncanny nose (think anteater) to sniff out unexpected delights on impromptu side trips on long, international, oft multi-country trips.
Ultimately finding the bureaucracy of her day job stifling, Jen pivoted to bespoke travel design in 2017. Jen is the Founder and ‘Fountain of Ideas’ for Archipelagos. She is the mother of two rambunctious border collies and Bahati Fund.
She learns through living so you’re unlikely to find her stationary or lacking in opinions. All the better for her discerning clients. Jen’s vision for Archipelagos is to design and promote travel to extraordinary places you haven’t heard of (yet), while creating sustainable jobs and protecting our world’s wildest places. She envisions Archipelagos as a conduit for connecting fellow wanderers with novel and meaningful encounters with the world around them.”
